题目:能基元序构的高性能材料——国家基金委重大研究计划介绍

 

 

张清杰院士

武汉理工大学材料复合新技术国家重点实验室

张清杰教授1990年毕业于华中科技大学获工学博士学位,中国科学院院士,武汉理工大学校长,曾任材料复合新技术国家重点实验室主任、热电材料两期国家“973”计划项目首席科学家。他长期从事高效热电转换、优异导电与抗冲击等特种功能无机非金属与复合材料的研究,开展了从基础理论到材料制备和工程应用的系统性、创新性工作,研究成果在新能源技术和国防尖端武器装备获得重要应用。获国家科技成果奖励二等奖3项、获美国陶瓷协会科学技术前沿奖;发表SCI收录论文300余篇,其中Nature  1篇、Nature Nanotech. 1篇、Nature  Commun. 5篇,被SCI他引5100余次。

Title: Systems  Innovation: Its Properties and Impacts on Society Transformations

 

Abstract: The current arguments on the innovation tend to be  focus on components innovation such as new devices, materials,  productions.  The innovations on systems do not seem to be well  recognized as driving force of components innovations. It is actually the  systems innovation that really solves the problems of the contemporary  society that is volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) and drives  the progress of modern science and technology. In this talk, brief history of  systems innovation is introduced and explain how the systems innovation has  been changing the society. It is explained how the systems technology is used  in systems innovation and how the systems innovation has brought the  satisfaction of people’s needs. The ongoing systems innovation backed by  information technology is discussed with special emphasis on  automation.  The intrinsic properties of the systems innovation that  connect the society and technology is discussed.

Hidenori Kimura

University  of Tokyo

He got the Doctor of Engineering from the University of Tokyo in  1970. He joined the Department of Control Engineering, Osaka University,  and later the Department of Mechanical Engineering, where he worked in the  area of control theory and its applications. In 1974-1975, He stayed in  Warwick University and Imperial College of Science and Technology in UK as a  British Council Scholar. In 1989, he stayed in the California University,  Berkeley as a Springer Professor. In 1995, he moved to the Faculty of  Engineering, the University of Tokyo.

After the retirement from the University of Tokyo, he joined  RIKEN (Institute of Physical and Chemical Research) where he served as a Team  Leader of the Biological Control Research Group, and later the Director of  RIKEN-Toyota Collaboration Center.  He was also nominated to be a  Principal Fellow of the Center for Research and Development Strategy, Japan  Science and Technology Agency. He was invited to be a Distinguished Research  Professor at Waseda University. He is now working at the System Innovation  Center as a Vice Director.

His academic jobs include the President of the Society of  Instrumentation and Control Engineering, the President of Asian Control  Professors Association, the President of Asian Control Association, and the  President of the Transdisciplinary Federation of Science and  Technology.  He was the General Chair of the 25thIEEE  Conference on Decision and Control 1996.  He was a member of Japan  Science Council.

He received a number of awards both domestic and international  such as George Axelby Award from IEEE CSS, Paper Prize Award from IFAC  (twice), Giogio Quazza Medal from IFAC, Paper Award from the Society of  Instrumentation and Control Engineers (five times). He is a Fellow of IEEE  since 1990 and a Fellow of IFAC since 2005. He was selected to be a  Distinguished Member of IEEE.

His  current interest is in the promotion of systems innovation in Japan which he believes  is the right direction towards the recovery of Japanese manufacturing.
